Looking at this article on BBC News about the proposed .xxx tld I came accross the quote

But some are concerned that it would encourage more porn on the net.

Really, can there be any more porn out on the web if we tried? Surely by creating a .xxx tld then parents will be able to ban their children from offensive material slightly easier. Porn has a firm grip on the web, surely the people in charge should recognise this and do something to make it more easily identified before it is on your screen.

If you removed all of the Porn from the web then you will only be left with one site, and that will be entitled “Bring back the porn”

Plus also, with all the usage of the word Porn, can you imagine what this is going to do to my search engine stats!

Ramble

Last night I went to see Charlie and The Chocolate Factory. I loved it! I dont quite know what I was expecting, but I know it was better. Jonny Depp in it is absolutely fantastic, and in my opinion he is well and truly on his way to become one of the greatest actors ever. If you are taking your children, be warned, it is quite a dark film and could trouble your kids for a while after.

I have to say the Oompa Loompas are the most scary. No longer these medium sized orange people, and now more like little indian borrowers. The songs are genius, written by Rohl himself. Go and see it!

Also, tonight sees the start of a new show on Channel 4 called Lost. It is a drama that is based upon the real world Survivor, Big Brother esc. programs. With a giant budget (repotedly $2-3 million per episode) and the most expensive pilot episode ever made it is set to keep us on the edge of our seats for the next few weeks. The story os that a plane crashes 1000 miles off course on an island, and the survivors have to try and get on until they are found. I read a report which stated that to make a realistic crash scene the show creators even bought a jumbo jet, cut it up and then blew it up on the beach. As an avid 24 fan, this appears to be right up my street. I will give you a report on what I thought tomo.

Finally, I used my birthday money to buy some new music. The Daniel Powter album, and the Long View album. I am still listening to both of them and am yet to form an opinion. I will let you know wheter they are any good soon.

Anyway, enough procrastinatin, back to work for me.

Sorry for the delay oin posting, but I was on holiday. Have been in spain for 10 days, and forgot to say, so thats why there havent been any posts for a while.

Also I would like to thank all those who sent me birthday wishes, I am now the horrible age of 22, and fear that I no longer have any excuses for not doing anything other than “I dont wanna”

A lot has happened since I last posted other than my birthday, one of the main things being EU Jet going into Administration! I was meant to be flying with them in September, but that is not as bad as Jess’ parents who had flown with them, and were left stranded!

They have also caught the london failed bombers. I understand that they are almost definately guilty, but I do fear how they are going to get a fair trial. Would hate to be the Judge on that case.

Finally I did an update to PubMaps, check it out and if you have any suggestions as to where I should take it leave a comment. This is what I have at the moment:

• Give details of the pub ie: Jukebox, pooltable, darts, real ale, beer garden etc.
• Entertainment guide ie: Quiznights, live music etc
• Extend it to other areas than the city center
• Pub Crawl generator
• The possibility of including a swappable set of markers which will be restaurants
